Pacific City Thousand Trails

Pacific City Thousand Trails is one of our favorite campgrounds on the Oregon Coast. We met up with Kirk and Anya and spent a nice four days (7/10/-7/14/17). Last year the weather during our stay was in the 80’s but this year was cooler but still sunny which is great for the Oregon Coast.

I did two hikes at nearby Cape Lookout. Jaime and Crosby joined me for the first one out to the cape.

The cape was clear and the views were great.

The next day I came back and hiked down to the beach.

The beach trail is not nearly as popular as the cape trail.

We enjoyed fresh local caught fish and chips with Kirk and Anya at Sportsman’s PubnGrub.

The local dory fleet launches right from the beach (pic from Sportsman’s). If they have fresh ling cod, definitely go with that option.

Great pics as always. This hot weather with the smoke definitely is not good for touring & pics.
Hopefully it will all be gone for the eclipse viewing.

    1. Fingers crossed. Long range forecast looks good.

  3. We loved Pacific City, though we haven’t seen the Thousand Trails there yet. We’re definitely going to get the membership for next year, though. That sand was pretty amazing. 🙂

    1. Hi Steve – Hope to see you guys again down the road.
